Does ChatGPT Watermark Images?
Yes. When you ask ChatGPT (Plus, Team, or Enterprise) to generate an image, it uses the DALL-E 3 model backend. OpenAI applies two forms of tracking to these ChatGPT exports: a visible cluster of colored squares in the bottom right corner, and a massive C2PA metadata manifest hidden in the file code.
Sanitizing ChatGPT Exports
If you post a raw ChatGPT image to a platform like LinkedIn or Instagram, their algorithms will instantly read the C2PA manifest and slap an "AI Generated" label on your post. Use our Standard Mode to instantly strip the C2PA data and cleanly clone-stamp away the visible corner squares.
